From new retail options in Downtown Birmingham to familiar favorites whipping up delicious food at new brick and mortars, here’s whats new in Birmingham.
Here at Bham Now, we love supporting local.
If you’re looking to shop local, but don’t know where to start, check out our local business directory with over 700 businesses.
1. Hide & Hunter
A new tenant is joining the already awesome lineup at Mercantile on Morris. You may remember Hide & Hunter from Upswing, a demonstration project by REV Birmingham. The retail store creates beautiful, handcrafted leather goods that are timeless, but also make great statement pieces. I got a brown leather wallet from them and I’d say it’s one of my best investment items that I own.
2. Jeni’s Splendid Ice Cream
I scream. You scream. We all scream for ice cream—especially if it’s Jeni’s. Jeni’s Ice Cream made its way into our hearts (and stomachs) with its first Birmingham location in Pepper Place. Now the ice cream shop will soon be opening a second location in Mountain Brook’s Lane Parke.
As soon as we know more of the deets, we’ll keep you updated on this yummy development.
